Connectivity

The Sensors send data to the Charger.

There are three gateways to access motion data from Chargers:

  • USB HID (Human Interface Device)
  • Wireless HID
  • WebSocket interface via a mobile device

Initially, littenYº Pro will provide the WebSocket interface and SlimeVR USB HID for the following data:

  1. Sensor ID
  2. Rotation quaternion
  3. Average acceleration vector

The WebSocket data is encoded in CBOR format.

We plan to extend USB HID and Wireless HID gradually, implementing the most popular interfaces sequentially.

The WebSocket interface introduces additional 5ms latency. However, it is straightforward to work with. We recommend starting development using the WebSocket interface, even for applications that require low latency. Once the AI models trained on WebSocket data are sufficiently mature, we can collaborate to optimize them and build them into the Charger firmware for improved performance. Alternatively, for more complex or proprietary AI models, we can provide direct access to the motion data via the mobile device.
